You Can’t Breathe

And it is no wonder why. Every day is a race against the clock. From the moment you wake until the moment you collapse at the end of the day, life is hectic and oftentimes overwhelming.

From 2014 to 2015, average stress levels in the U.S. rose from 4.9 to 5.1 on a 10-point stress scale, with a particular increase among adults reporting “extreme stress.” The top 4 sources of stress are: money, work, family responsibilities and health concerns. (Stress in America Survey, American Psychological Association, 2015)

With the daily pressures of work responsibilities, family responsibilities and obligations, long commutes and not enough hours in the day, we are exhausted. Even a small change that reduces some stress, saves time and money and frees up some sanity is a huge step in the right direction.

Since 3 out of 4 doctor’s visits are for stress-related ailments (The American Institute of Stress), reducing stress in general, and by association, reducing office visits, may be critical to lowering these numbers.

The Medici app was created for these very reasons. This app exists to make your life easier – to help you reclaim valuable time, and make your healthcare interactions cheaper, easier and more convenient. Having your doctor at your fingertips, only a text away, can alleviate stress in a moment of crisis, can alleviate fears and anxiety, and can grant you peace of mind. In chaotic and trying times, solutions that create breathing room are invaluable, and allow you to take a deep breath and slowly exhale – stress reduction at its most simple.
